The problem
The challenge
More storage still meant more account switching.
People using several Google accounts had storage available, but their files and free space stayed scattered across separate Drives. Even simple tasks required switching accounts and remembering where everything lived.
What we changed
The key decision
Make many Drives feel like one workspace.
We kept Google's familiar file structure while presenting connected accounts as a single storage pool. Uploads are routed to the account with the most room, so users do not have to manage capacity manually.
